Frequently asked questions

What is nomad coding?

Nomad coding is programming through an AI coding agent using only your voice: no screen, no desk. You speak, the agent writes and runs real code on your machine, and you review and approve the changes by ear, from wherever you are.

How is it different from vibe coding?

Vibe coding still keeps you at a desk: you type prompts and read the output on a screen. Nomad coding removes the screen entirely: the same conversation happens by voice, so you can keep building while you walk, cook, or commute.

What do I need to get started?

Any tool that lets you talk to your AI coding agent by voice from your phone while you move. Today the reference is KoeCode (a Mac at your base running the agent, your phone as the voice remote, headphones on), but the movement is bigger than any single tool, and more will surely appear.

Does the AI change my code without me noticing?

No. The agent narrates what it's doing and asks before important steps. You review diffs, run tests, and approve or reject changes by voice: the same control you'd have at your keyboard, just spoken.

Can I really code while walking or driving?

Yes: it feels like a phone call with a very capable colleague. You listen to progress and answer with decisions. It's hands-free and eyes-free, designed for moments when your hands are busy but your mind is not.
